Introduction

The main purpose of designing this complex was to create additional space and services to revive the historical bazaar of Kashan, Iran, which will help revive the bazaar and provide full service to it.

Concepts:

• The original purpose of this project was to attract more market attention and encourage people to use it.

• Different central courtyards connect the main and significant parts of the basement and ground floor space, and its architecture is introverted.

• The height of the complex does not exceed the old market of Kashan height, and in the underground parts, the lighting of the spaces is done through the central courtyards.

• Various plazas are intended to create interactive spaces in the complex.

• The materials of the spaces follow the texture around them so that instead of drawing people’s attention to Kashan Bazaar.

• There are three entrances to the complex from different directions, and the main entrance is a local passage that divides the complex into two parts.
