Project Overview

The Foot Repose project was completed in March 2024 as a holistic spa and wellness interior, blending Japandi and minimalistic aesthetics to create a serene sanctuary. The program includes reception, waiting areas, massage rooms, Moroccan bath, sauna, manicure & pedicure stations, lockers, and staff zones. Each space was designed to deliver comfort and tranquility, offering visitors a calming retreat from daily stresses.

Design Concept

Foot Repose embodies Japandi minimalism — merging the warmth of Scandinavian design with the elegance of Japanese simplicity. Clean lines, neutral palettes, and uncluttered layouts establish a peaceful atmosphere, while natural materials such as stone, oak wood, and lime wash plaster enhance the connection to nature. Soft lighting and tactile textiles complete the ambiance, ensuring the interiors feel restorative and timeless. Curved forms and refined furniture bring harmony, turning simplicity into an elevated spa experience.

Zoning & Planning

The spatial strategy is organized to support both relaxation and functionality. Reception and waiting zones introduce guests into the calm environment, leading naturally toward treatment spaces. Foot massage, manicure, and pedicure areas are designed for openness and comfort, while private wellness rooms such as the Moroccan bath, sauna, and massage suites offer immersive, intimate experiences. Staff and locker facilities are discreetly integrated, maintaining operational efficiency without interrupting the guest journey.

Materials & Atmosphere

A carefully curated palette reinforces the serene character of the spa. Limestone-effect porcelain tiles, Scandi oak finishes, microcement, and beige latte tones provide warmth and tactility, while lime wash plaster and soft lighting bring depth and calm. Double-glazed curtain walls frame views and invite natural light, blending the interior with its surroundings. The combination of textures and tones creates a balanced and grounding atmosphere that defines Foot Repose as a modern sanctuary.
